The Daily Mile
We are continuing to promote the Daily Mile in Thurrock and now have around 13 primary schools in the Borough participating.
The Daily Mile is an excellent initiative that is going on across the country designed to make children more active!
It is proven to improve physical, social and mental well being.
It is fun, friendly and social – which is vital to ensure sustainability
It it not a race or competition – it is fully inclusive, with no need to change in PE Kit.
Children enjoy a sense of freedom in the fresh air!
Active Essex our County Sports Partnership presented their first award to winning schools last week and I am delighted to announce that one of the 2 schools awarded was East Tilbury Primary.
The Daily Mile pack is available to download from the SSP website along with school data return sheets for you all to get involved and be as equally successful as East Tilbury!
