A MAN FROM Chafford Hundred is set to stand trial over a number of charges alleging sexual activity involving children and indecent images on a computer.
Tony Phillips, aged 28, of Felipe Road, Chafford Hundred has been charged with the following
1. On 15/12/2013, being a person aged 18 or over, intentionally caused or incited a boy aged 13, not reasonably believing he was aged 16 or over, to engage in sexual activity of a non penetrative nature.
2. On 25/03/2014, being a person aged 18 or over, intentionally caused or incited a boy aged under 16, not reasonably believing he was aged 16 or over, to engage in sexual activity.
3.On 18/04/2014, being a person aged 18 or over, intentionally caused or incited a boy aged 13, not reasonably believing he was aged 16 or over, to engage in sexual activity of a non penetrative nature.
4.On 25/05/2014, being a person aged 18 or over, intentionally caused or incited a boy aged 14, not reasonably believing he was aged 16 or over, to engage in sexual activity.
5. On or about 17/07/2015 made indecent photographs of children, namely, still images found on a laptop computer, being 96 at level A, 53 at level B and 362 at level C.
6. On or about 17/07/2015 made indecent photographs of children, namely, moving images, being 27 at level A, 34 at level B and 66 at level C.
7. On or about 17/07/2015, distributed some 163 indecent photographs of children being still and moving images.
A trial date of January 27th at Basildon Crown Court has been set.
Phillips has been released on conditional bail.
