Were Thurrock burglars exposed to asbestos?

ESSEX Police are appealing for information following a burglary in West Thurrock where the suspects may have been exposed to asbestos.

They gained entry to Capital Cables in Motherwell Way by smashing through a clear, corrugated roof panel at some point between 11am on Saturday, January 21 and 7am on Monday, January 23.

Cable worth a five-figure sum of cash was removed.

Capital Cables Ltd has advised officers the roof is made with asbestos, the building has been evacuated, and there is a possibility the suspects may have been exposed to it.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pc Barry Wakeling at Grays Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
