Man breaks jaw after hit and run in Stanford-le-Hope

ESSEX Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was in collision with a pedestrian and failed to stop.

A 20-year-old man was crossing Third Avenue in Stanford-le-Hope at 1.30am on Saturday, December 31 last year.

He was struck by a small silver car, the make and model unknown. The driver failed to stop.

The victim, who is from Purfleet, was taken to hospital with a broken jaw.
