LABOUR Councillors, Martin Kerin, Jane Pothecary and Tony Fish were out in force over the weekend talking to residents in Seabrooke Rise about the Conservative administration’s plan to introduce a ‘tenant top-up tax.’
Cllr Martin Kerin said: “There is real anger about the proposed Tenant Tax. This Tory tax will hit hard-working residents at a time of rising job insecurity and stagnating wages”
Cllr Jane Pothecary commented: “Many residents we spoke to do not know how they will be able to stump up a potential increase of up to £400 a year. We call on the Conservative adminstration to think again.”
