A MAN from Chafford Hundred has escaped jail after pleading guilty to possessing a knife in Grays.
Garry Williams, aged 32, of Rawlyn Close, Chafford Hundred appeared at Basildon magistrates court and pled guilty to the following.
On 14/02/2017 at Grays had with you, without good reason or lawful authority, in a public place, London Road, Grays, an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed, namely black handled kitchen knife with a 7-inch blade.
Williams received a twelve mont suspended sentence, a rehabilitation order and a £200 fine.
