MP Dan Jarvis visits Thurrock Labour

DAN Jarvis MP visited Thurrock this Wednesday (15th March) for a Q&A with Thurrock Labour Party members.

In a well-attended session, he spoke about his political life, experiences from his own seat of Barnsley Central and the Labour fightback in key constituencies like Thurrock.

Thurrock CLP Chair Colin Ricks said, “It was great to welcome Dan to Thurrock. We had a really good conversation on how important it was that places like Thurrock are listened to nationally. Topics such as what Labour can do about the housing crisis provoked a lot of really good suggestions from members. Above all, we know we need to be out in the community listening to residents.

“Dan has a great record of campaigning on things like Children’s Centres. Locally, with Tory plans to close centres in East Tilbury and Chafford Hundred, we know all too well how Thurrock is affected by this.”
