Ukip MEP Tim Aker celebrates ‘E-Day” as Article 50 is triggered

WE think it might well be ten years ago, that we first met young Tim Aker, whoo then expressed an opinion that the UK should get out of Europe.

Then he was a voice crying in the wilderness. So, we thought it was only appropriate that on the day the United Kingdom begins formal notice of leaving the European Union.

Cllr Tim Aker MEP said: “Today is a memorable day for our country. Even though it took nine months, Britain has finally given notice that she will leave the European Union.

“Now it is up to the Government to deliver Brexit on the people’s terms. This means full control over our borders, our laws, our fishing waters, our money and trade.

“The Government have already shown willingness to continue to pay Child Benefit to EU migrants and continue access to British fishing waters without compensation. We need to keep a close eye on the negotiations and exactly what the Government is willing to barter.

“UKIP has always been clear – no deal is better than a bad deal. We will not accept anything but a clean Brexit. It’s what the people voted for.”
