A third person has been charged in connection with an incident in which two men were stabbed.
Police were called to an address in Broxburn Parade in South Ockendon shortly before 3.30am on Sunday, April 9.
A 30-year-old man from London had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not life-threatening.
Patrick Shiels, 35, a painter, of Cullen Square, South Ockendon, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday April 12.
Shiels was also injured during the incident on Sunday and was treated in hospital for a serious stab wound.
Two other people have been charged in connection with the investigation and another two have been released under investigation.
