Hockey: Youth scheme flourishes at Thurrock Hockey Club

A NUMBER of young hockey players took part in a end of season celebration in Hornchurch.

The event took place on Sunday May 21st at the Campion school in Hornchurch. Young hockey players, some as young as six, joined with players from Havering and Romford for a hockey celebration.

Thurrock minis hockey continues to grow and they are always on the lookout for new players, especially year 2 and year 3 pupils.

Training is weekly, 7pm every Wednesday at Palmer’s College, Grays.

Youth hockey is one of those few sports where boys and girls get to play together. Many of the older youth team players have progressed into the adult teams this season.
