THURROCK Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is working in partnership with Thurrock Council and the community and voluntary sector, to provide a free exhibition and show on all things health and wellbeing. The event is being held on Wednesday 14 June at Civic Hall, Blackshots Lane, Grays. This is being supported by Healthwatch Thurrock and Stronger Together Thurrock.
Jeanette Hucey, Director of Transformation at NHS Thurrock CCG said:
“We have an exciting programme of change in Thurrock. Our plans include ensuring that people can access the right support to help them stay well. This show will give residents in Thurrock the chance to find out what’s out there locally to support them. There will also be opportunities to test their health and people will be able to find out about and give feedback on some of our key plans and changes.”
Stall holders include: Inclusion Thurrock’s IAPT Recovery College, Breathe Easy Thurrock, local Diabetes UK support group, Local Area Coordinators, substance misuse advice, the Stroke Art Group, Mid and South Essex Success Regime, Community and Voluntary Service and much more.
Kristina Jackson, Chief Executive of Thurrock CVS said:
Stronger Together Thurrock promotes local, community activities that strengthen connections between people. It encourages local people to have a greater say in what happens in their neighborhood and to take control over where they live and the decisions that affect them. This event will give you the opportunity to find out about both voluntary and statutory services available and to get involved in discussions about changes to health and social care.”
There’ll be a chance for you to give your views on some of our key local health and care plans and try out some of the activities on offer in Thurrock.
Soft play will be available for children provided by XXXX and refreshments will also be provided courtesy of Healthwatch Thurrock.
The event will run from 10am to 4pm at Civic Hall, Blackshots Lane, Grays, RM16 2JU. To find out more information about exhibitors and what’s on during the day visit: www.strongertogetherthurrock.org.uk or search #livewellthurrock for the latest updates.
