Sam Cross joins the squad

Grays Athletic are pleased to announce that Sam Cross has joined the club.

The 23 year old left back joined Bowers and Pitsea from Billericay Town last season.

Previously Sam has played for Concord Rangers, Heybridge Swifts and Brentwood Town.


Jon Ashton returns for the Blues

Grays Athletic are delighted to announce that central defender Jon Ashton is returning to the club and has signed for the 2017/18 season.

Jon began his career at Leicester City, making his Premier League debut for them in March 2002 before enjoying successful periods at Oxford United and Rushden & Diamonds.

He played in our colours between 2007-2009 and during that time he was named Player’s Player Of The Year and Supporter’s Player Of The Year.

After his time with us, Jon went on to have a long association with Stevenage, helping them obtain their football league status and promotion to League 1.

He moved to Crawley Town, before joining Braintree Town last summer.

Jon joined the Blues last season in a short loan spell from Braintree


Jamie Stuart signs former teammate

Grays Athletic sign Tambeson Eyong.

Jamie Stuart has signed versatile defender/midfielder Tambeson Eyong for the forthcoming season. The two played together at Margate when they were promoted from the Isthmian Premier in 2014/15.

Tambeson, a former West Ham youth player, was at Canvey Island and Billericay Town last season.

He has also represented AFC Hornchurch and Bishops Stortford.

We extend a warm welcome to him and hope he enjoys his time with us.
