Gable Hall school changes it’s name

Gable Hall

GABLE Hall school has announced that it has changed it’s name.

Gable Hall, along with Hassenbrook, Corringham and the Stanford and Corringham Sixth Form Centre have all been renamed ORTU.

A message on the school website said: “We are delighted to announce that our Multi Academy Trust name will be changing as of the 1” September 2017 to ORTU. As a successful and growing Multi Academy Trust, we feel that this name enables us to share our inclusive and successful vision, mission and values and the academic and social opportunities for students as far and as wide as possible.

ORTU is a Latin word associated with ‘ascendant’, ‘rising’ and ‘aspiring’ and it aptly describes our journey together in raising outcomes and aspirations for all our children.

“We proudly present our new Trust logo to you with this letter and trust that you will be glad to see that the four schools within ORTU still proudly retain what is particular and precious about each one as is embedded in our Mission. Our Mission, Vision and Values remain the same and the ORTU name change does not affect the high level of service that you have come to expect from all our schools namely:

• ORTU Corringham Primary
• ORTU Hassenbrook Academy
• ORTU Gable Hall
• ORTU 6th Form Centre (Stanford & Corringham)

In the near future, we will gradually modify physical signage around our schools and in the digital world to reflect the above. As yourselves, all our students and parents will be apprised of what to expect and you will know as we morph into new ORTU livery.

If you would like to discuss this further, please write to your Principal who will be happy to help you with your query.

We look forward to continuing our work mutually supportive work in transforming young peoples’ lives for the better and raising aspirations as ORTU.
