THURROCK’S lingerie entrepreneur Ella Vine opened a pop up shop in luxurious area of Kensington & Chelsea as a part of London Fashion Week this September. Ella’s luxury lingerie brand, called Ella Vine, with its online store is active only from May this year but Ella’s unique designs captured the eye of RawLuxe, an agent for new luxury designers. RawLuxe sells
Ella’s designs among other luxury fashion designers in 1 Ladbroke Road, Notting Hill Gate in London. The pop up shop is open until the end of September.
Ella’s inroads from Thurrock to Kensington & Chelsea have been possible thanks to winning last year a free business mentoring from Essex County Council Business Innovation programme. Ella said: ‘’The programme helped me to set my sight in the right direction and to persevere. I started the business with no money at all and it definitely wasn’t easy but I enjoyed the creative process. Now I am giving back by giving work to people who live in Thurrock, as all our tailors and other team members live in Thurrock’’.
Since the opening of her online store Ella has been very busy: ‘’Our products, including our innovative poppy suspenders and poppy stockings, are being stocked in brick and mortar boutiques in Southend and in Leigh on Sea and will be soon sold in Swindon and in France. We are getting more and more exposure in the fashion media and we are receiving wholesale enquiries as far as from India.
But my aim is to have my shop in Lakeside, which is only down the road from my home. I’m now in talks with equity investors and am looking forward to developing the brand’’.
