Statement from Essex Police: “We’re aware of a large number of bikers on the London-bound A13 & A1306 & have officers in place to respond to any disruption or incidents
Statement from Essex Police
“We’re aware of plans for large groups of motorcyclists to be travelling through Essex to locations across London for an unauthorised bike meet during the Halloween period.
During previous events in London, there has been dangerous riding that has posed a risk to the safety of both riders and other members of the public, as well as anti-social behaviour and criminal damage.
Chief Inspector Nick Lee said: “This event has not been authorised and there is no guarantee that adequate safety arrangements are in place, so anyone taking part does so at their own risk.
“If you do decide to attend, please be mindful of your safety and that of members of the public who are not taking part.
“We will be looking to work with participants to make sure any disruption that may occur while they pass through Essex is kept to a minimum.
“We will take action against anyone who acts anti-socially, commits crime or rides in a way that puts others at risk.
“Any members of the public who witness such behaviour are asked to call 101.”
