SATS results in Thurrock: How did your school fare?

THE SATS results for pupils at Key Stage 2 have been published.

We always feel it is best not to sensationalise these results. These are early days in a young persons’ education.

We are also aware that there are so many factors that can dictate what result a school can get.

However, for the record, the government has stated that a school is considered to be under-performing if fewer than 65 per cent of their pupils taking the national curriculum tests reach the standard or fail to make sufficient progress in the three key areas.

In 2017, twenty-four Thurrock primary schools have “under-performed”.
