IN 2017, volunteers collected more than 330 sacks of litter from along the riverfront in Grays.
The first clean up of the new year is this Sunday, 7th January.

I do this at East Tilbury as a one man band.
A big thank you to all the 17 volunteers who turned up this morning to help clean-up the waterfront. Today by working together, we stopped 33 sacks full of plastic including 336 bottles from entering the oceans.
There are many more regular river foreshore clean-ups planned for 2018 in Tilbury, Grays, Purfleet and Rainham. If you would like more details please contact me on [email protected] indicating which areas you would be interested in coming along too.
The next clean-up at Grays is planned for 4th February from 10:30 to 12:00 meeting at the Yacht Club.
