A MAN has admitted causing a collision in Corringham which left a woman injuries which will affect her for the rest of her life.
Two motorbikes were in collision in Manorway at around 9.15pm on Wednesday, June 14 2017.
One of the riders, a woman in her 20s, suffered serious, life-changing injuries.
Billy Boom, 24, of New Zealand Way, Rainham pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, failing to report a collision, driving with no insurance, and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence at Basildon Crown Court yesterday (Thursday, August 2).
Four other men, who have all pleaded not guilty to assisting an offender, are due to stand trial in February 2019.
Boom is due to be sentenced following the conclusion of that trial. He has also been given an interim driving ban, the length of which will be confirmed on sentencing.
