South Ockendon man faces trial over downloading images of child abuse

A SOUTH Ockendon man is set to stand trial over a number of allegations involving downloading images of child abuse.

Basildon Magistrates Court

Mehmet Chavoush, aged 65, Benyon Court, Peartree Close, South Ockendon, has been charged with the following.

On or Before 20/09/2017 at South Ockendon made indecent photographs, namely two CAT C images, of a child.

On or Before 02/12/2017 at South Ockendon made indecent photographs, namely 4 CAT A images, of a child.

On or Before 02/12/2017 at South Ockendon made indecent photographs, namely 5 CAT B images, of a child.

On or Before 02/12/2017 at South Ockendon made indecent photographs, namely 7 CAT C images, of a child.

A trial date of October 8th at Basildon Crown Court has been set.

Chavoush has pleaded guilty to the following contraventions of a prevention order.

On 02/12/2017 at South Ockendon in the county of Essex, without reasonable excuse, did something, namely failed to have a monitoring software on the device, that you were prohibited from doing by a sexual offences prevention order made by Basildon Crown Court on 23/07/2014

On 14/03/2018 at South Ockendon in the county of Essex, without reasonable excuse, did something, namely failed to have monitoring software on a device, that you were prohibited from doing by a sexual offences prevention order made by basildon crown court on 23/07/2014

On 08/09/2018 at South Ockendon in the county of Essex, without reasonable excuse, did something, namely failed to have monitoring software on a device, that you were prohibited from doing by a sexual offences prevention order made by basildon crown court on 23/07/2014
