AoC regional results see students reach the Nationals
SIX South Essex College students have qualified for the Association of College’s Sport national championships.
Kane Elkin and Charisma Nuqui will compete in the tennis competition and Harry Small in table tennis. Sophie Wheeler, Maddison Merritt and Rachael Herbert will all take part in the golf finals.
To reach the national finals the students competed at the AoC East regionals, held at Easton and Otley College and Bawburgh Golf Club, both in Norwich.
The AoC Sport national championships will be held in Nottingham on 26-28 April.
Aaron Quinn, Sports Lecturer, said: “We had students participating from football, tennis, table-tennis, cross-country and golf, I was extremely proud of all those who represented the College as their behaviour and sportsmanship were superb.
“It was brilliant to have our female golfers qualify, as well as the tennis guys. Bring on the Nationals!”
