Christmas Bazaar success at St Thomas of Canterbury

Christmas Bazaar Success!

IT was a lot of hard work but a joy for all who attended the St Thomas of Canterbury, Grays, Christmas Bazaar on 24 November 2018.

The Church Hall was a hive of activity with happy faces all around.

The £500 cash prize in the Grand draw is waiting to go to a lucky winner.

Parish Priest Father Brian O’Shea was delighted at the success of the event: “I thank all who supported our event last Saturday. It was a wonderful social event with so many interesting things to enjoy. A massive thank you goes to all who worked so hard to make it a huge success. More than £5,000 was raised. God bless you all.”

There was plenty on offer for all family members to enjoy such as arts and crafts, games, books, toys, bottle stall, Christmas goods and knit wear.

Assorted hot food including Jollof rice, puff puffs (fitters), other African foods, and cakes and other refreshments were also on offer.

The Christmas Bazaar is the Parish’s main annual fund-raising event and proceeds will go towards the on-going restoration of the Church buildings.
