THURROCK Council is set to launch it’s fourth round of Community Environmental Development funding this March to support a range of community-led projects across the borough.
The Community Environmental Development Fund (CEDF) provides the backing and support for residents to lead positive change in Thurrock through new and exciting initiatives in their area.
Projects put forward for consideration must meet a community need, provide value for money and be sustainable whilst making a positive difference to the community.
The CEDF has supported 24 different projects since its introduction in 2016 with many incorporating improvements to land and the renewal of community buildings.
The application period for CEDF funding is open from Monday 11 March and closes at 5pm on Friday 17 May 2019.
A series of information workshops in April will provide those interested in applying with more information and support on the funding and submitting an application. These will take place at:
– Corringham Library on Monday 1 April from 2pm to 4pm
– South Ockendon Community Hub on Monday 8 April between from 2pm to 4pm
– Thurrock Council, Civic Offices, Grays on Wednesday 10 April from 6pm to 8pm
– Bulphan Village Hall on Friday 12 April from 2pm to 4pm
