Well that says it all about what the voters of Thurrock are like as people.
And your comment Valen just epitomises why both Labour and Conservatives took such massive losses, try listening to the people that they are paid to represent and stop playing at politics.
People have had enough of both May and Corbyn who honestly couldn’t organise the proverbial in a brewery.
This vote should be a wake up call to both main parties, now May has quit maybe it is time for Labour to step up to the plate and get rid of Corbyn and his cabinet as they are totally unelectable as they stand
@Lambo – Valen (Myles) Cook is very happy if racists and homophobes oust the Tories especially if Labour help facilitate the deal – says all we need to know about him as a person.
CONGRATULATIONS TO NIGEL AND ALL HIS SUPPORTS AND FELLOW MEPS.
This is the best news in British politics for years. Stale and tied political mainstream parties are now paying a price for conning us all for years.
A vote for the Lib Dems is a vote for corruption, they clearly have no respect for democracy and support a corrupt EU. The Tories have become a joke and Labour lol…a party of left wing numbnuts.
A New World order in Europe is on its way and a BIG thank you to Mr Farage for helping it happen.
Lambo – My comment only points out that most voters in this region are willing to support a racist crap spewing tosser like Farage and that doesn’t say much for their intellect or morality.
Yes, it does give the main parties a message – that this country is getting more and more narrow-minded and racist. What a pity for what used to be a great national.
Ed – I’m really feeling the love from you. It’s nice that you come out from whatever rock you live under to attack me for wanting the Tories (who have openly and murderously attacked disabled citizens of the UK) to lose seats and influence, yet allow people who vote for UKIP or the Brexit Party a free pass despite the racist underpinnings of both parties.
I don’t like the make up of the new Basildon council but I have neither the ability to change it at the council level or voting rights at the ward level. It is nice that you seem to think that I have some measure of power over things I have no power over. Does this mean that you think I’m God? Wow! That makes you delusional (or right, I’ll have to try out my divine powers later on).
All you’ve done is shown yourself to be both a hypocrite and an idiot. Well done, it takes a special kind of moron to be able to do that.
My long term worry is war in Europe. I see if Far right wing fascists get elected in Italy, Germany, Spain, France, UK. Outside EU US, Ukraine, Moldova, Brazil.
This could lead to war between fascist leaders when they fall out with each other.
I keep saying why this is happening 40 years of economic Neoliberalism that is driving more and more people to either of the edges because they are
disillusioned and excluded from life.
This is the route cause that we need to deal with economically.
@ Myles (Valen) Cook. When you are in a hole just stop digging. You have been caught out openly supporting Labour doing a deal with a racist and homophobe because it kept the Conservatives from power. This is politics of the madhouse and only someone completely bonkers would think this is a good deal. While you claim to oppose the right wing you are happy that a racist and homophobe is now Deputy Leader of Basildon Council because Labour cut a deal with him to keep the Conservatives out. Absolutely stark raving mad and speaks volumes of the sort of person you really are.
Ed – Read my posts very carefully. I only ever congratulated Basildon for ousting the Tories. I never said I supported how they did it so stop making baseless attacks on me to make yourself feel big.
It’s interesting to note that you haven’t attacked Peter Perrin for backing The Brexit Party which is led by a racist, anyone who voted for UKIP that has had a relationship with ultra-Right Tommy Robinson for several months or indeed anyone who has voted Tory, a party that is currently led by Theresa Mayhem (who gave us the racist ‘hostile environment’ policy that stopped Windrush generation UK citizens getting medical treatment, lost them jobs and some of them deported) and may be soon ped by Boris Johnson (who has made many racist comments in his Telegraph columns), an entire party so riven with Islamophobia that one of their own peers, Baroness Warsi called the Tories institutionally racist.
Don’t you think you’ve shown yourself to be a little foolish? The only person digging a hole for themselves is you because you attacked me for saying something that I didn’t say yet fail to attack people who openly support racist political parties.
Given that you’ve attacked me but not those who openly vote for racist parties, it makes me wonder if you’re trying to divert attention from your own racist leanings because otherwise you’d be attacking The Brexit Party, UKIP and the Tories instead of me.
Ed – I’ve just seen this headline “‘Terrifying’ video shows attendees of a Brexit Party rally calling for Jeremy Corbyn to be ‘lynched'”. So why aren’t you attacking The Brexit Party for incitement to violence?
Or attacking The Brexit Party and their supporters over things like this headline “‘Brexit Party’ supporters tell British-Asian Labour MEP to go home during acceptance speech”?
That video you mentioned in the post.
Is not on the Mainstream BBC or SKy. But can be found online. Interesting its been buried. If it had been a Lib Dem, Labour,Green, Rally saying May should be, it would be on 24 Hours Loop.
I posted about the Press freedom index and us and the US dropping.
The US media is worse than UK, it is worrying that its all turning ideological and hateful. ie Fox News, NSNBC, Leading the charge.
We need a media that gives us accurate facts not spin. Not lies about WMD 45mins and every other false flag war since. Then saying sorry we will do better next time and question authority and not.
they are not Investigative journalists or reporters they are stenographers.
Anyway cannot hang around hear i’m going to watch NSNBC and Rachel Madcow.
with her russia, russia, russia, bullshit.
If she ever starts writing novels no one will know the title but everyone will know Russia did it at the end.
Not Investigative journalists they are stenographers.
I want accurate facts not crap from some Government, Arms Corporation, or any other bad actor. as John Lennon once said
“Just gimme some truth”
but they give us no chance but sports type antics and Conditioning.
Catching the Bus – Of course nothing incriminating would be shown of Right-wing parties in the mainstream media because the media (or the vast majority of it) is intensely Right-wing. You’ll never get the truth from the media whilst it is so infected by Right-wing commentators and upper management, merely Right-wing propaganda.
Another problem with online media is that websites such as Your Thurrock tend to only have comments from Right-wingers either spewing their hatred for the sake of spewing it or attacking the (very) few Left-wing progressive commentators for putting the progressive arguments and defending the persecuted or, a lot of the time, misrepresenting what a Left-winger says and smearing them with their misrepresentations to damage the progressive cause. It’s sad Right-wingers have to sink so low because they can’t compete in the arena of ideas and facts.
Their is always one common denominator on here attacking people that have a difference of opinion and thats our dear friend Myles Cook. If he is not attacking Mr Perrin, me and now others with his blinkered chip on his shoulder view of life, he’s not a happy man.
Being a sad man on benefits he takes aim at the Tories for swathing cuts, in fairness, sometimes justified but more often than not he’s just bitter about life without the Labour nanny state.
Myles – whilst you provide good entertainment on here, people clearly are starting to see you as the common denominator of vexatious personal attacks and in true school boy bully style cannot take retaliation.
Pull yourself together man and get a job or stop being so bitter and twisted towards others.
“Media, either spewing their hatred for the sake of spewing it or attacking the (very) few progressive commentators for putting the progressive arguments and defending the persecuted or, a lot of the time, misrepresenting what a person says and smearing them with their misrepresentations to damage the progressive.”
Yeah I have had a death threat on this very website by a user who no longer posts.
It’s like he was trying to make it hard/Dread intimidate me for me to post because i point out a few facts on economics to him.
Thankfully no one has done that since.
Catching the Bus – Death threats? That’s appalling but that’s Right-wing nutters for you. The most I’ve had is ignorant misrepresentation, childish name-calling and pathetic smears as you can see from the attacks on me above. The trouble with Right-wingers is that they don’t listen to arguments or facts when they are presented with them. They don’t present facts to support their pathetic rants, they just present their opinions as if they were facts and hate it when someone counters their ‘arguments’ with real facts.
Right-wingers have to personally attack Left-wingers because they don’t have the arguments to win a debate. It’s rather sad really.
Is it exclusive.
I’ve always had the view that the extremes are the problem.
Either Communism (Starlin) or Far right Fascism.
(BNP, National Front, Tommy Robinson, Mussolini, Hitler) are the same thing a few control everything to the degree that its heads they win and tails they win.
and they want to kill everyone.
thurrocksgonedownhill – Couldn’t hold your wad again, could you?
Please pay attention – Lambo and Ed both attacked me first on this thread so I am counter-attacking as is my right and the long-running back and forth with you was directly incited by you on a past Perrin column on betting machines. Perrin attacked me in a column earlier this year and he has complained about being kicked out of Labour whilst campaigning/putting himself forward as a candidate for UKIP and, most recently, advocating voting for the Brexit Party. As I was being attacked for supposedly supporting a racist homophobic councillor because that’s how Basildon ousted the Tories, a move that my comment neither supported or approved of, yet voters/supporters of the Tories, UKIP and the Brexit Party (all three either led by racists or institutionally racist) are given a free pass to be openly supporting racists and homophobes and that Perrin is one of those people, it is only right and proper that he be mentioned in my comments on this thread.
The only reason I call people morons is because, like you, they deliberately misrepresent things I say to try to smear me, ignore facts when presented with them, don’t present facts when debating issues, wilfully use childish name-calling to deliberately provoke me and, most importantly, when not doing all of the former, ignore what I present in my arguments and just attack me for saying anything at all. To be quite honest, I think I’ve been very generous in my handling of people like you, Ed and Lambo, holding back on my more vicious attacks because, when all is said and done, I pity people like you.
Nice dig at me being on benefits by the way but, as I have been deemed unfit for work and have previously paid into the system, I’m entitled to them. Shows how low a Right-wing moron like you has to stoop to score points in an argument though. And, for God’s sake, get an education, little boy! You’ve made so many errors in your comments that it would take a skilled editor a year to correct them. I know how much you hate cut-and-paste but I suggest that you use a word processing program with a spelling and grammar checker to compose your comments and then cut-and-paste them into the textbox on this site to post them. It might make you look less stupid.
Why don’t you be a good little neo-Nazi and finally honour the deal I have now put to you three times (and you have broken each time)? I’ll ignore you (which I have to say is the easiest thing in the world for me) if you ignore me. You obviously don’t like the fact that I even exist, let alone actually speak my mind and make you look like a complete fool every time we cross swords so why do you keep trying to attract my attention?
Catching the Bus – Although Stalin was leader of a supposedly Communist country, it wasn’t actually a Communist country in the true sense of the terminology and he was a dictator who used the surrounding political architecture but, in my opinion, didn’t actually believe in the Soviet version of Communism.
Real Communism is the ultimate end of a Socialist society which has become created to support everyone and works for every member of that society so much so that ‘the State’ withers away as it is no longer needed. Social class divisions will no longer exist and every individual will be equal, working together for the betterment of all. The USSR was a corrupted version of a Socialist society in a country that wasn’t adequately advanced, industrially speaking, to even attempt Socialism. Karl Marx always stated that the road to Communism via Socialism would be through the creation of class consciousness in the working class in an industrialised nation which may require a revolution. The Russian admirers of Marx simply tried to force a revolution in a country that didn’t have the correct industrial conditions to support the creation of the class consciousness needed for a true Socialist society.
Of course, I still believe that Socialism/Communism on its own could never work. It needs a mixed economic approach and a political system that mixes the best aspects of all the political ideologies, creating a synthesis that works for all.
