1-7 June is National Volunteers’ Week and the Royal Opera House is lucky enough to have some very dedicated volunteers.
The Royal Opera House has a loyal team of 40 volunteers in Thurrock as well as many in Covent Garden. They support the work of the Royal Opera House at the High House Production Park in Purfleet in numerous ways including helping out in the office, supporting weekly public tours of the Royal Opera House buildings in Purfleet, looking after audiences at public events, getting involved in publicity and marketing, and taking on roles in the running of the Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus.
Gabrielle Forster-Still, ROH Head of Learning and Participation in Thurrock said ‘We are so grateful to the people of Thurrock and the surrounding area who give up their time to help us run our activities in the borough. They are a really important part of our team and we appreciate everything they do. It is right in Volunteers’ Week to say a big Thank You to all volunteers who make such a difference wherever they are involved.’
