Amazon is recruiting for more than 50 managerial roles across Essex

TODAY, Amazon announced that it will create 2,000 new jobs in the UK during 2019, in a move that will take its total permanent workforce to more than 29,500 by the end of the year.

More than 50 jobs in Amazon are available for professionals in fields such as IT, Safety and Engineering at sites across Tilbury and Basildon.

Expert professionals at these sites help to build and continually improve how Amazon delivers for customers and play a crucial role in the running of Amazon’s operations in the area and around the world.

Amazon also has a number of positions for graduates in technical, non-technical and Operations roles. Graduates at Amazon lead teams that work on key projects and help the company to provide an even better shopping experience for customers. Amazon has partnerships with a number of universities to support graduates into these roles and also welcomes applications.

Specialists and graduates who are looking for a highly stimulating and rewarding working environment at the heart of Amazon’s Fulfilment & Operations network should visit amazon.jobs for more information of available roles and to apply.

“We are delighted to be recruiting for specialist managerial roles in our operations network in Essex, with competitive wages and comprehensive benefits from the very first day,” said Stefano Perego, Amazon’s Vice President of UK Customer Fulfilment. “These are highly-skilled roles working on exciting and innovative new technologies that benefit Amazon’s customers around the world. We’re proud to employ thousands of people in the Essex to ensure we continue delivering a fantastic level of service for our customers.”

All permanent Amazon employees, whether working in UK fulfilment centres, sort centres or delivery stations receive very competitive pay and attractive benefits including private medical insurance, life assurance, amazon stocks, income protection, an employee discount, as well as a company pension plan.

Amazon’s interview process differs by role. After completing an online application, successful candidates can generally expect to have a phone interview followed by an in-person interview which may include a technical discussion. All candidates are evaluated based on Amazon’s Leadership Principles. These Leadership Principals are used by teams every day from discussing ideas for new projects to finding the most effective solution to a problem. There are lots of tips for preparing for Amazon interviews at amazon.jobs.
