A LAST minute goal ensured honours were even at this top of the table clash on Saturday afternoon.
Swifts opened the scoring through Alex Teniola (35′)
Aveley left it to the last minute through Connor Witherspoon (90′).
The result leaves Aveley in fourth place, a play-off berth.
With Maldon now twelve points ahead it looks like Aveley will want to concentrate on coin second or third.
They return to league action on Monday March 2nd at home v Brentwood Town.
Before that they have their biggest match in their history with an FA Trophy quarter final clash with Vanarama National League side, Notts County next Saturday at Meadow Lane.
