East of England ambulance staff say thank you to Captain Tom Moore

EEAST

STAFF at East of England Ambulance Service have expressed their thanks to Captain Tom Moore, who has raised an incredible £26m for the NHS by completing 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday.

Sandra Chick, General Manager of Emergency Operations for the Mid Essex locality of the East of England Ambulance, posted the image on social media (see above) along with following message: “Wow, £20 Million, Congratulations and Thank you @captaintommoore from all of us #teammidessex #TomorrowWillBeAGoodDay #walkwithtom #legend #NHSLove.”

The staff can be seen holding up banners saying thank you with letters colours of the rainbow, as has been the theme with many NHS thank you posters.

Captain Tom Moore is to be guest of honour at the opening of a Nightingale hospital in Harrogate.

The veteran, who was born in Keighley, West Yorkshire, will appear via video link at the opening on Tuesday.

He said it was an honour and a chance to thank NHS workers directly.
