ST.LUKE’S Hospice in Basildon have said a special thanks to a 6-year-old girl from the area for taking part in their blue heart campaign.
The charity said on their Facebook page: “Thank you to 6 year-old Lilly from Basildon for taking part in our blue heart campaign!
“Lilly’s great grandma, Eileen spent time in our In-Patient Unit in February this year; the place where we also cared for her Great Grandad, Lionel, 20 years ago before he passed away.”
Lilly’s mum Gemma said: “The support, love, care and dedication St. Luke’s Hospice gave my grandad and our family was the same 20 years on with my Nan.
“We are so proud to support you through these difficult times. We’ve always supported the Hospice and my Nan asked for donations to be made to the charity at her funeral instead of flowers. We’re proud to show our support for St. Luke’s Hospice now more than ever.”
