THREE cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Thurrock in the latest figures released by Public Health England today (Wednesday 6 May).
This means the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the borough is now 292.
The total number of Thurrock Covid-19-related deaths has remained at 51 for the fourth day running.
The numbers across the borough are:

Purfleet, South Stifford and Lakeside 1
Grays and Chafford Hundred 5
Stifford Clays 6
Little Thurrock and Blackshots 7
Tilbury 5
Chadwell St Mary 3
Orsett, Bulphan and Horndon 3
Stanford West 1
Stanford East 2
Corringham and Fobbing 5
At Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital Trust there have been 247 coronavirus-related deaths.
This trust serves the patients from Basildon and Thurrock as well as residents of the neighbouring districts of Billericay, Brentwood and Castle Point.
The main centre of operations for this trust is the Basildon University Hospital.
Looking at statistics, it is clear there has been a downward trend in the number of coronavirus-related deaths at the trust at least when compared from April 9th until April 15th.

Understandably, many of our readers have asked why, when we report on the number of deaths at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital Trust, we have not reported on the number of people who have recovered.
That is a very fair question.
