SEPTEMBER marks St. Luke’s Hospice’s annual ‘Make a Will Month’ campaign, where participating solicitors generously provide their Will writing expertise for free in exchange for a donation to St. Luke’s Hospice. The Hospice, based in Basildon, provides compassionate, end of life care to local people.

Participating solicitors will offer the opportunity to make or update a simple single Will or a pair of simple mirror Wills throughout September as part of Make a Will Month. Due to the current pandemic, appointments can take place virtually over the phone or video conferencing.
Sarah Stoddart, organiser of the Make a Will Month campaign, explains the importance of having an up to date Will: “Ensuring your Will is up to date helps give you peace of mind and security for your loved ones. There is no obligation to do so, but making or updating your Will is also a great opportunity for you to remember the charities you care about, like St. Luke’s Hospice, by including a gift in your Will.”
