A GRAPHIC Design student from University Centre South Essex won a logo design competition organised by Southend Children’s Centres, run by family support charity, Family Action.
Marc Knight’s creation was picked to represent the new donation project organised by the centres, Bits and Bobs – babies and beyond. He is a third year BA (Hons) Graphic Design & Illustration student at the Southend Campus.
Bibs and Bobs was created by the centre to offer support to parents. People can donate both new & pre-loved children’s items such as prams, clothing and toys. Parents and carers can then view the selection and take away what they need.
The project allows parents to save money and be environmentally friendly at the same time. It’s currently operating on an appointment basis only due to social distancing, every Friday at Summercourt Children’s Centre in Westcliff. For more information, call 01702 220810.
Amanda Littlejohn, Family Support Coordinator, organised the project and the logo competition. She said: “Marc’s first submission was pretty great and exactly what I had envisaged. Marc nailed the brief, I was amazed at how professional he was in his approach. I think he has a bright future in this field.”
