Escape to Vue Thurrock this half term for family fun

VUE Thurrock is bringing a fantastic array of new and classic family blockbusters to the big screen this October half term.

Film-goers of all tastes can fill their holiday break and enjoy the ultimate escape from the outside world.

Families can dive back into cinema with the new release of swashbuckling adventure, Two By Two: Overboard! Get ready to set sail with all creatures great and small as Noah’s Ark drifts on the open seas in this animated family film. After weeks with no land in sight and food stocks running low, best friends Finny and Leah try to keep the fragile peace between the carnivores and herbivores on the ark.

Follow the unpredictable and exciting adventures of Dennis and his friends in Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! On The Big Screen. Kids can escape to the streets of Beanotown where mischief and everyday rebellion rule and anything can happen – and usually does!

For those in need of wholesome laughs, stand-alone sequel Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite promises pet-oriented family fun. In this action comedy, Gwen the Cat and Roger the Dog are secret agents who covertly protect and save the world without humans ever finding out.

With Halloween just around the corner, fan favourite Hocus Pocus is back on the big screen. A curious youngster moves to Salem, where he struggles to fit in before awakening a trio of diabolical witches that were executed in the 17th century.

Or join Duggee and the squirrels for a whole hour of fun and adventures in Hey Duggee At The Movies. The fun doesn’t have to end as kids can enjoy eight laughter-filled episodes whilst parents can sit back and relax.

Those looking to catch classic crowd-pleasers back on the big screen where they belong this Autumn will have plenty to choose from. Family highlights over half term include classics such as Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Eduardo Leal, Head of Screen Content at Vue Entertainment, said “We are thrilled to be open and welcoming families to the big screen this half term. We’ve got a great selection of new and classic content on show, from fantastical adventures to hilarious animations – so we hope there’s something for all.

“Parents and children can come along, immerse themselves in great stories and switch off from the outside world.”
