Former Grays Athletic star pleads guilty to drug dealing following massive county lines operation by police

SEVEN people have pleaded guilty to a number of drug offences following a series of raids across Essex, Hertfordshire, London and Suffolk.

A total of 19 people were arrested on Thursday 8 October, 2020 in dawn raids including a large number of addresses in Harlow.

This highly complex police operation involved raids at addresses right across town in houses as well as businesses such as White Horse pub in Old Harlow.

An estimated £100,000 was seized during the operation during the operation which was targeting a network suspected of supplying cocaine to county lines drugs gangs in west Essex, Hertfordshire, London, and Suffolk.

Weapons, cash and drugs were seized during dawn raids at 17 addresses in Harlow and one in Suffolk.

All seven appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court on Wednesday March 24th.

The seven are:

Christopher Golding, 38 of Hart Road, Harlow: Conspiring to supply a Class A drug;

Stuart Thurgood, 38 of Morley Grove, Harlow: Conspiring to supply a Class A drug;

David Wilkinson, 36, of Primrose Hill, Haverhill, Suffolk: Conspiring to supply a Class A drug;

Lee Wilkinson, 38, of Parsonage, Leys, Harlow: Conspiring to supply a Class A drug;

Robert Aldred, 29, of Pittmans Field, Harlow: Conspiring to supply a Class A drug;

All seven were further remanded in custody.

Sentencing is expected to take place in late May.

This was a complex and high profile investigation and so we expect that Essex Police will be issuing a detailed report at the time of sentencing.
