Candidates announced for local elections in Thurrock

NOMINATIONS for the local election, due to take place on Thursday 6 May 2021, have officially closed and the names of the candidates standing in Thurrock have been announced. Details of the candidates can be found at thurrock.gov.uk/elections

The election for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) for Essex is also due to take place on this date. When the candidates standing for the position of PFCC have been announced these details will also be added to thurrock.gov.uk/elections.

Anyone not registered to vote needs to apply at gov.uk/register-to-vote or by calling 01375 652816 before midnight on Monday 19 April.

Those who want to make a postal vote must contact the elections office at electoral.services@thurrock.gov.uk or call 01375 652816 to register by 5pm on Tuesday 20 April.

Some polling stations have changed this year. Details of which polling station to attend will be included on polling cards which are sent to every eligible voter. Information about where polling stations are located in Thurrock can be found at thurrock.gov.uk/wards-and-polling-districts/polling-stations.
