Thurrock Council consults with Tilbury parents about early year’s services

THURROCK Council has launched a consultation aimed at parents of younger children living in Tilbury, to help make sure they have access to the best early years support possible.

The consultation, set to close on Friday 8 November, will be used to transform the way services offered by the two council run nurseries in Tilbury, Little Pirates and Neptune’s, are delivered.

Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and Education, Cllr Barry Johnson, said: “I’d like to encourage parents in Tilbury to complete our consultation so that their thoughts and views can be included as we develop our proposals.

“Parent’s needs are unique and vary depending on their circumstances, but all parents want nothing but the best for their little ones. This is why it is important we hear from as many people as possible about the way they want to see these services delivered to ensure we are meeting their needs through providing facilities which their children enjoy and benefit from.

“We are keen to continue to offer the very best support to both parents, carers and children, I would urge parents in Tilbury to get involved and have their say to help shape the future of local early year’s services.”
