UNIVERSITY Centre South Essex will honour a bestselling author, influential parent podcaster and Queen of the Jungle at their graduation ceremony in October.
Giovanna Fletcher who won ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ in 2020 will receive the award of Doctor of Letters at the higher education event from University of East Anglia who accredit a large number of degrees offered at the Centre.
Giovanna is a mum of three who hosts the popular podcast ‘Happy Mum, Happy Baby’ with over 13 million downloads to date and also presented ‘The Baby Club’ on CBeebies. The programme provided a lifeline for parents of young children throughout the pandemic lockdowns.
Together with her husband, Tom Fletcher from McFly, the pair penned a trilogy of books. The first two have been Sunday Times best sellers with the final instalment in production.
Giovanna said: “I’m really excited to attend the event and join the graduates on their special night. I’m looking forward to meeting all the students and hearing about their educational journeys. It’s an honour to receive this award in my home county of Essex.”
The Graduation ceremony will take place on Wednesday 19 October 2022 at the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend. Graduating students have already received their invitations with information about how to book seats and gowns. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about attending the ceremony.
