BELHUS 3rd XI batted first at the South Ockendon REC on what was a very trcky wicket after the previous day’s heavy rainfall.
The visitors, Oakfield Parkonians took some early Belhus wickets. Belhus youngster, Robert Healy contributed 52 runs before been caught deep on the boundary after having seen his side make it a long way to their eventual run total of 181.

After the turnaround, Tyler Robertson and Ashir Saleem led the Belhus 3rd XI bowling attack. Robertson, with two wickets, was in great form, ably assisted by Alan Maidment (3 wickets), Billy Baker (2 wickets) and others contributing singles.
The Oakfield Parkonians batting lineup was bowled out after scoring just 117 in 29 overs.
Belhus 3rd XI now have three Essex league wins from three! Well done Belhus 3rd XI.
Elsewhere in the Essex leagues, Belhus 1s, 2s, and 5th XIs lost, but there was an exciting finish in the 4th XI game where some fine batting by Simon Walker (91 runs) almost made it past the winning post for Belhus with local rivals Horndon CC who prevailed by just 3 runs on this occasion.
