THURROCK’S Hayley McLean ran a super 400 metre hurdle to make to through to the European Championships semi final.
Starting out in lane eight, Hayley ran an aggressive but measured race to finish third in a time of 56.64.
Originally from Stanford-le-Hope, Hayley now runs for Shaftsbury Harriers.
Anyone who has followed her career through Essex Schools, All England Champs to European and World Juniors will testify that she is a model professional and trains so hard.
