AVELEY continued their promotion challenge with a two-goal victory against Bowers and Pitsea.
Goals by George Sykes (65′ pen) and Manny Ogunrinde (82′) secured all three points.
The result leaves Aveley in third place, just two points off the top.
They return to league action on Saturday away at Kingstonian.
