
THIS should be a straight forward hold for Labour.
Cathy Kent has been a mainstay of the group for many years. Cathy has always been one of those economical councillors who only speaks when she has something to say but when she does speak it is worth listening to.
The Thurrock Council debt under the Conservative administration is a case in point.
In this ward, like all the wards, Labour will be doing the maths and seeing what progress they are making to retaking the council bt also whether they can win the seat in the General Election next year.
The Conservative candidate, Elizabeth Alo is standing for the first time. This was alway she a good experience in a ward like this and we wish her well.
The presence of a Reform UK candidate is significant in that there is a distinct possibility they will field a candidate in the General Election.
