St Luke’s Hospice In-Patient Unit to open this summer

THE In-Patient Unit at the St. Luke’s Hospice site in Thurrock is set to open this summer, creating a range of job opportunities at the leading local healthcare charity.  

St. Luke’s Hospice will be hosting recruitment days on Friday 16th June, 1pm-7pm, and Saturday 1st July, 10am-4pm at the Thurrock hospice to help fill a number of new clinical, support and administrative roles.  

The new positions will support teams across the Thurrock In-Patient Unit and in Hospice Community Services. The vacancies include Registered Nurses for the In-Patient Unit, Senior Nurses – Assessing and Reviewing in Hospice Community Services, Health Care Assistants, Clinical Support roles and Housekeeping.  

At the recruitment days, attendees will have the opportunity to interview for their selected role, with conditional job offers made that day*, as well as meet members of the Hospice team.

The opening of the In-Patient Unit at Thurrock will help St. Luke’s Hospice better meet the increasing and changing needs of end of life care in the local community.  

St. Luke’s Hospice is a charity providing compassionate palliative and end of life care to the local community, with expert and experienced teams supporting both the person and their family and friends. It provides a wide range of services including its In-Patient Unit, Hospice Community Services, Wellbeing groups, Clinical Outpatients appointments and Physiotherapy.

*Please note that all roles are available for an immediate start and are limited in number. We advise attendance at the first recruitment day on Friday 16th June as positions will be offered and confirmed as necessary. The second recruitment day on 1st July may be subject to cancellation if all available roles are filled by this time.
