TRAIN operator c2c Trenitalia has added push notifications to its travel app to help keep customers up-to-date with direct alerts and updates about their journeys straight to their phone’s home screen.
In times of disruption this addition will keep c2c customers informed, ensuring they are alerted to any delays that might affect their journey, as soon as the information becomes available.
c2c’s Interim Commercial Director, Steve Knights said: “We’re delighted to roll out this new push notification feature, after a successful trial with a select group of customers. We believe that for those who opt in, it will greatly improve their experience of travelling with us as they’ll be able to get the most recent, accurate and relevant information, straight from our customer information centres, right when they need it most”.
c2c customers can choose to either receive alerts about specific routes and times of day, or let the train company automatically notify them if a journey they bought a ticket for is going to be disrupted.
Easy to set up, all c2c customers need to do to receive push notifications is download the c2c Train Travel app, and set their preferences using the ‘Preferences’ section in the ‘My Account’ section. Customers can personalise their preferences to get information about their station, when their tickets might expire, or upcoming trip reminders.
