Police appeal for witnesses after serious assault in Grays

ESSEX Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Grays last weekend. 

Officers were called to Wharf Road, outside The Wharf Pub shortly after midnight on Sunday, 5 November following reports of two men being seriously assaulted.  

One man was reportedly punched several times and another man sustained stab wounds to his body. 

They were taken to hospital and their injuries are described as serious but not believed to be life-threatening. 

Enquiries remain ongoing and investigating officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything or have any further information to contact us.
