A MAN has admitted dangerous driving following a collision at a car cruising event near to the Lakeside shopping centre where someone was injured.
We were called to reports of vehicles racing in the West Thurrock Way area with a large number of spectating at around 10.55pm on Sunday 1 May.
It was reported a spectator was in collision with of the vehicles and injured.
Fortunately, they were not seriously hurt.
Twenty-five year-old Keaton Elliot, of Cowdray Avenue, Colchester was arrested and later summonsed to appear at court.
He attended Colchester Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 28 November) where he admitted dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
He is due to be sentenced at a later date and has been given an interim driving ban until then.
