THE LABOUR candidate at the next General Election has slammed the decision to award Thurrock MP Jackie Doyle Price a dame hood as part of former PM Liz Truss’ resignation honours.
Jen Craft said: “Liz Truss’s economic gamble created misery for people in Thurrock sending mortgages skyrocketing for thousands of local households.
“Our Tory MP should be standing up for us, but instead has accepted a gong from her mate who was forced to resign after just 49 days in office.
“This Tory Government continues to reward failure and given the choice our MP thinks first about a title for herself over her constituents.”
