
POLICE officers investigating a serious assault in Tilbury are asking for the public’s help.
A spokesperson said: “We were called to Calcutta Road, Tilbury to reports of a serious assault shortly after 9.45pm on Saturday 10 February.
Emergency services attended and found an injured man who had been assaulted by a group of people. He had been punched to the head and sustained significant injuries.
The man, 40s, was taken to hospital.
We know that there were people in the vicinity at the time and we’d ask anyone who witnessed the assault to contact us.
