Royal Ascot has been and gone for another year, but it certainly didn’t disappoint. There was a good mix of favourites and outsiders winning in the horse racing odds, keeping both the bookmakers and the punters happy.
In this article, we look at the victors from each day of Royal Ascot. So, read on as we recap the winners from this year’s renewal.

Day one
Silvestre De Sousa and Roger Varian opened proceedings with a bang in the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes, as Charyn justified favouritism to win the one-mile contest.
Prodigy Billy Loughnane then opened his Royal Ascot account with a shock victory aboard 80/1 outside Rashabar in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes.
Oisin Murphy steered Asfoora to victory in the top-level King Charles III Stakes before Rosallion landed the St. James’s Place Stakes for Richard Hannon and Sean Levey.
Pledgeofallegiance and Belloccio scored in the handicaps on either side of a Listed win for Israr in the Wolferton Stakes.
Day two
Day two of Royal Ascot features three Group 2 contests in succession to get the card underway, and Leovanni won the Queen Mary Stakes before an Aidan O’Brien 1-2 in the Queen’s Vase with Illinois and Highbury.
It was John and Thady Gosden’s turn to have the first two home in the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes, as Murphy doubled his tally for the week with Running Lion.
O’Brien and Ryan Moore picked up their second win of the day in the feature, the Group 1 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes, with Auguste Rodin, while Murphy won the Royal Hunt Cup with Wild Tiger and Doha landed the Kensington Palace Stakes.
Ain’t Nobody rounded the day off with a win in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes for Jamie Spencer and Kevin Ryan.
Day three
In a repeat of the day before, the Gold Cup card opened with Karl Burke and James Doyle teaming up to score in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes with Shareholder.
Going The Distance then won the King George V Stakes from 9/1 to give Rossa Ryan his first winning ride of the week before O’Brien and Moore took centre stage once more.
Ballydoyle’s first win of the afternoon came via 12/1 outsider Port Fairy in the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes, but that was merely the warmup as Kyprios scooped a second Gold Cup in the highlight race of the entire meeting.
Mickley won the Britannia Stakes, Jayarebe landed the Group 3 Hampton Court Stakes and Doyle scored again in the Wathnan Racing colours with English Oak in the Buckingham Palace Stakes.
Day four
Fairy Godmother extended O’Brien’s and Moore’s record for the week in the Group 3 Albany Stakes on the penultimate day.
The back-to-back Group 1s that followed went to the Kevin Ryan-trained Inisherin in the Commonwealth Cup and the Donnacha O’Brien-trained Porta Fortuna in the Coronation Stakes.
The Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes was won by the French raider Calandagan, as the Aga Khan-owned horse beat Space Legend by a comfortable six lengths.
Soprano was a second winner of the week for Loughnane in the Sandringham Stakes, while Pilgrim and Crystal Black won the Palace Of Holyrood House Stakes and the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes, respectively.
Day five
As they did 24 hours prior, O’Brien and Moore opened the final day with a victory in the first race of the afternoon, as Bedtime Story won the Listed Chesham Stakes.
It was then time for some group action, as Isle Of Jura won the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes before Murphy was back in the winner’s enclosure following a victory with Khaadem in the top-level Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes.
Carrying on his fantastic week in the Wathnan Racing silks, Doyle won the Group 3 Jersey Stakes with Haatem with Murphy in second on Kikkuli.
Unequal Love won the Wokingham Stakes followed by Hand Of God landing the Golden Gates Stakes, while Uxmal won the Queen Alexandra Stakes for Joseph O’Brien to ensure that all three members of the family enjoyed a win at Royal Ascot 2024.
