VISIT Essex is supporting local businesses by extending the tourism season with the Essex Big Weekend. The Big Weekend will run from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 October, where lucky winners will be able to redeem their prizes.
There are over 660 prizes to be won with 70 Essex-based businesses taking part – more than ever before! Colchester Zoo, Hylands Estate, Hedingham Castle, Audley End House & Gardens, Go Ape, RHS Hyde Hall and many more have signed up to offer prizes for Essex residents to win.
Overnight stays are also up for grabs, with Away Resorts offering a four-night stay at Mersea Island Holiday Park, Camelia Hotel offering a one-night stay for two people with breakfast, and Lee Valley putting up a £250 voucher for any Lee Valley campsite.
Foodies could win an afternoon tea for two, a wine tasting and tour, or even a three-course lunch!
The Essex Big Weekend ballot is free to enter and opens on Monday 19 August and will close on Monday 16 September.
