The Basildon Borough Volunteer Awards recognise the amazing achievements and contributions that volunteers make across the Basildon borough. It could be someone who cares for a loved one, runs a community group or works in a charity shop.
Everyone nominated for an award will be invited to a prestigious Volunteer Awards Ceremony at the Towngate Theatre on Tuesday 4 March 2025.
Winners in each category will be presented with a trophy and a certificate of appreciation by the Mayor of Basildon, Councillor Allan Davies, and the award category sponsors.
The categories for the 2025 awards are:
- The Young Volunteer of the Year Award (11-21yrs or up to 25 years if additional needs)
- Community Star
- Inspirational Role Model Award
- Fundraising Champion
- Long Service Award
- Voluntary Group/Project of the Year Award
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- People’s Choice Award
Mayor of Basildon, Councillor Allan Davies said: “Volunteers play an essential role in our community, dedicating their time and energy to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Whether it’s supporting a charity, or offering a helping hand to those in need, they show us that when we believe in Basildon we can make a real difference in our community.
“The Volunteer Awards is a fantastic way to honour these extraordinary individuals, and I encourage everyone to nominate someone who deserves recognition for their selfless work in making Basildon Borough a better place to live.”
