OFFICERS investigating a serious collision in Aveley this afternoon (Monday 20 January) are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
The single vehicle collision, involving a Silver Mercedes B200, happened at 2.50pm in Aveley Road.
The driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers are specifically appealing to the driver of a black Vauxhall Corsa, which was travelling towards Grays, to get in touch as officers believe they have vital information.
The road is currently closed in both directions between Warwick Lane and Usk Road while our investigations continue.
Anyone with information or dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries are urged to come forward.
